Games all set to go. Loaded it up last night to make sure. Didn't try to play anything just sat and listened to the main menu music. Even the main menu had bad frame rate. LOL The mouse cursor was lagging real bad. Hilarious. GPU comes in today. So excited.

Heck yeah. Settings are 50% medium, 40% high, and 10% ultra. Game looks awesome and silky smooth.

Fallout 4 went from lowest settings to ultra.

Star Wars battlefront went from lowest settings to high.

Perfected Doom 3 sits at a constant 60 FPS.

Battlefield 4 went from medium to ultra quality at 60 FPS easy.

The GeForce gtx 960 4gig is a monster.

Thanks man. Better then I could have ever expected. Seriously if you guys are looking for a good upgrade at a generous price get a gtx 960 4 gig. I looked long and hard into this purchase and it paid off. My crap PC is back in action. I'm ready for all the good stuff coming up this year. It will definitely hold me over till next year when I finally get that $1500 upgrade.

Even Alice Madness Returns has new life breathed into it since I can finally play it with PhysX maxed out.

Awesome!

Give it a few years and upgrade again.  Doom, Witcher 3 and Dark Souls 3 in 1440p at 60fps are all a collective something to behold  >:D

Nah I'm doing it next year. I'm gonna take all this hardware in my current PC and put it in another case for my son to use. He'll use my new PC too if he wants for newer games but for all the older games that are maxed out with this new GTX 960 they'll stay on his rig.

Ok just to show how good this GPU is I decided to lower anti aliasing to FXAA and I set everything else to ultra quality and the game is running as smooth as butter at 1080p.

So Doom 4 on the PC also a steam game. That is annoying how so many PC games are going that way.

I recently purchased half life 2 for modding an old released modification only to release no actual maps were released for it. But the whole steam running, installing this and that, was quite annoying.

If I ever purchase this game, it'll be for a console.

Steam is great. All my games are in one place with all my friends and achievements safely backed up in the cloud. Enjoy your non ultra quality screen tearing romp through Hell.
