I wonder if they are human-like or just "here are the bots, shut up already".

I like how much stuff they release for SnapMap - one can make a single player / coop campaign that is closer to stock campaign. I am surprised this community hasn't done anything with it :(

I am a bit concerned with what happens after last DLC is released. I have a feeling they might do update number 6 (or not) and slowly fade support for Doom 2016 (I'd imagine they have to work on some other stuff, like Quake Champions or something else). Maybe they keep supporting it while they are working on DOOM VR?

I'd personally would love to see either remastered RAGE with proper ending and more boss fights, or RAGE 2 using id Tech 6.

Still downloading update 5.  :)  When I delete the game I might never reinstall it again.  What is it now, 80+gb? That's a LONG time to download on 7mbs. :D

I'm eager to try the bots.  Would be a neat feature to be able to download snapmap maps & play them whenever you want vs always redownloading them.  Mario Builder lets you do that so you can play your favorite maps w/o being online.

Eeh, why such slow internet ?

25Mbps down and 2Mbps up here in TX and that's actually regular plan. 35Mbps down and 7Mbps up is on my complimentary data plan for my smartphone.

only places that get those speeds are high density populations & their immediately surrounding areas around here.  Lots of areas the best you get is dialup (unless you go satellite) & in my town cell service is spotty at best.  :)

During my trip today I'll stop in the middle of nowhere and do speed test for my 4G (that's if there will be 4G there). I'll let you know.

That should make you like Facebook, Google and Elon Musk for wanting to put drones in the sky to get you fast Internet access ;)

Those days are behind me i used to have a 2Mbps down much less up, now i'm 100Mbps down and up with fiber and this on a very very small village (+-200 people) almost in the middle of nowhere, in Portugal, where cellphone coverage is very bad for example. :)

Never heard of that, but I think I'd have a lot more fun trying to shoot them down.  :D  i'd have to buy a big enough gun to get that high!  :)  All for research purposes.  :D

So, it seems that in TX situation with high speed Internet in the middle of nowhere is as bad as in NY, or even worse :(

Down stream was like 5Mbps and upstream wouldn't even start. That was 4G in the middle of nowhere :/

One thing I noticed about US is how bad Internet in general is (and expensive) compare to EU/Russia. You'd think in US Internet would be top notch everywhere, but for example fiber isn't even accessible in TX. Google started implementing fiber in Austin, yet when I lived there, I had no idea what the coverage was - anywhere I inquired about it (affluent and less affluent areas) management said there was no access to Google Fiber. Total nonsense and I don't think Trump will make it any better  ::)

Most of the US is empty across the whole country vs most other countries.  One guy I worked with from Poland said if it wasn't for Hitler decimating most of Europe & a good chunk of populated SU, Europe/Russia would have an infrastructure older then the US.  President Clinton claimed in '99 that all the US would have high speed broadband within 4 years and it still hasn't happened.  It's not worth the $$ to invest in.  Satellite would be the best option for non-direct line customers if the usage terms weren't so restrictive (I've been told it's getting better since I ditched it).

But, since ~1/3 to 1/2 of the US population is in metro areas, give them what they want & screw the other 95% of the landmass, that's what happened.  :)  From the stats I've read, ~85% of all US citizens have/user internet access in some way though, so the lack of faster then dialup isn't stopping usage.

We should raise more awareness about this issue. Trump will listen if people are asking for it. Not many people know about our sorry internet in this country when compared to others. That's probably why it hasn't been fixed.

What's to laugh at. Raising awareness would be the first step.

Oh wait a minute. Are you an anti-Trumper?
