It's one of the greatest games I've ever played. It runs great on PC even with the official HD Texture pack. I've had it since Christmas and I've played it almost everyday for about 2-4 hours a day. Well reviews on Steam aren't that great and that's actual player reviews. And Metacritic User reviews are sitting at 5.5 on PC and 5.3 on PS4. That's not good and definitely not worth full price. Like I said the action is fantastic looking and that's where the game shines the most according to reviewers. But it's not worth full price IMO. Bargain buy for sure though. Either way to each their own. Have fun if you get it and let us know how it goes. I'm off to Monster Hunter World now.

As much as I liked Rage I'm personally waiting for the new Doom as my "Big Game of the Year" purchase.

Same here buddy. Rage 2 looks fun but I've heard multiple reliable reviewers, not IGN, PC Gamer, etc., say the same thing over and over. It's fun when the action is going on but the open world is bland and lifeless. The story is stale, the characters don't really hit the mark, the side quests are repetitive, and it's basically a very mediocre game. The only thing that holds it together is the action which is basically a Doom 2016 like experience and there's not enough of it. I think I'll just wait till the actual new Doom experience comes out. Maybe Rage 2 will be a bargain bin buy one day for me.

I loved the mechs but FEAR 1 was superior.

No I haven't played any FEAR mods. Just the actual games 1 & 2.

Yeah it's got that FEAR inspired death.

You could remove the monster when gibbing via the monster's script file. I used "remove();" to remove them when they were killed by specific weapons and their health dropped to specific negative numbers. That way gibbing was more random and not so definite.

Blender would work.

Yeah you're absolutely right but it really ties it all together. I think this is the best explanation of why you see things in older Dooms in Doom 2016 and vice versa. I'll take this as truth since it's better then any other theory I've seen. Plus it makes the lore so much more awesome.

Yeah it's time has been over man. If devs aren't flocking to it in droves by now then there are obviously limitations within the engine that hindered devs in various ways depending on what they wanted out of it. Listen to Carmack, he built it.

Instructions for installation are in the description and readme files that come with the downloads. Premium packs are not even made by me. Try to read more and pay attention to the author of each download.
