I've been working on this vehicle lately, almost done as far as general shape and functionality:

Nice work man has always, but if i may imo it looks like the scale is a little off, it looks to large in the interior especially when you are near the windows, is that intended?

Thanks!
It's a bit larger than I expected, but if you think about it, it's a transport vehicle. Bigger size - more cargo / passengers it can transfer :) I will probably scale it down a bit, once I have everything else working.
Ok if that is what you want, but imo something like that would need a big airplane or flying contraption to bring it to battle zones, search for Aliens APC and you will see something very similar but that looks much more believable, for example on the Aliens APC soldiers needed to be seated because if they were up they would need to bow their heads down.
Nah man, you are overthinking it ! :) As the story goes, that transport used to carry load drops/deliveries from the landing pot to the lab. Whatever people who organized the lab were able to purchase - they did. And it happened to be oversized, old lite transport vehicle.
I am almost anti-realistic about games. I miss Quake 1 and Darksiders massive grotesque architecture and stuff, stuff that most of the time makes no real sense or have place in our world, if you put practical mind to it.
As stated in Star Trek once, you use less energy for a large, slow ground transport vs flying it there faster. You're not fighting gravity by going to the top of the "well", as it were.
Plus, the original Star Wards had an awesome giant land hauler. :)
Ok point taken if that is a design choice and feels right within the game world than go for it. :)
More progress (almost done):
