D3 BFG and ambient lights/lighting

I seem to have completely missed the status on this one...

Could someone bring me up to date on what the situation is with D3 BFG and ambient lights/lighting ?

When I run D3 1.3.1 maps on D3 BFG that include areas with ambient lights, in BFG those areas are not properly lit (the area where the ambient light is located is lit more like a point light with a weird glossy shader rendering across the normalmaps, instead of rendering an evenly lit brightness level)

Thanks for shedding some "light" for me into this in advance...
I got six little friends and they all run faster than you ;)
