id Tech 4 Scripting / Calling custom console cmds in GUI scipts

Hello im working on a AI bot battle platform and am currently working on the GUI for it. I have a custom "addbot" command that im trying to call in the gui scripts but it wont allow it. i can call the "exec" command followed by the addbot command but it dosent take the bot name which is the parameter for the addbot command. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.
