Not my stuff, but I figured you'd like to know about it:

idTech 4 is listed as one of the engines.

Heads up, you have to pay for this.

Gotta pay for quality stuff, nothing is free nowadays. Their pricing is quite reasonable though.

When I brought up one time about ads, stuff like this was what I was thinking about, if someone who charges for stuff would give users of the forum a discount of some kind.  One of the things I was thinking about anyway.

Good post, Ya you have to pay for the stuff but a big question when it comes to making your own stuff with idtech4 is always where your going to get assets that aren't related to mars/hell. This is one of the answers, keep them coming. Thanks motorsep

If you guys want content like that. I can make it for you.I'd rather people who do modding not have to pay for stuff.
In my eyes a modding community should consist of lots of sharing and free stuff so we can build lots of cool shit.

EDIT:
After inspecting the content on that website, I warn you not to pay for most of it. Almost all textures are not done correctly or look very strange.
The rock formations are pretty cool though, they seem worth paying for.

This is nothing against you Motorsep - just want people to be aware that because you have to pay for it, doesn't mean you're gonna get a good quality product.

I would pay if I planned to make $$, I'd figure most here would do the same.

But, I don't personally see anything wrong with someone here asking (on the job forum, not here here.  :) ) for something and be willing to pay, or an offer of assets & charge.  IE Zombie, you could say "if you use my rocks commercially (hehehe) you pay $10".  I have no problem.

Would a forum here of just websites that have content for free/paid be a good idea?  Like garage games, the one motorsep linked to, cgtextures, etc.

I think a content section and a content request section could be cool.

If I see someone needs some content and I have  few days spare I don't mind jumping in to help.

Well, so much for those nice models. The site is gone. Imagine you purchased art there and needed a fix/update  :-\
