You should sticky that friar. Brings up some good stuff thats not just d3 specific either, but important for other fowardrendered engines using ala lot of dynamic lights. Also 70000 primitives? I know of some l4d2 maps that get around 2-3 times that many. Might b an old article though, and I guess source gets multithreading to do the heavy lifting

Crap, I put this on the wrong thread some how. It was meant for the one about brushwork vs lights

That's why I stickyied this post, so a bunch of separate threads don't need to be sticked.

I could make another sub-forum off this that is just tutorials and move tutorials to just that section.

If anything I'd say there are too many sub-forums already, nothing wrong with less forums and a few stickies.

To contribute to the thread, digging around archive.org, most of the D3W links in this thread still seem to work, lots of tutorial information:

I think we should make separate pages for each tutorial rather than jamming it all in one thread.

It makes it messy and hard to search for.

After messing with a tut with images that exist, I am going to make them PDF's & do it that way vs forum posts.  Easier on me. :)

I have a couple doomedit questions:

-When I select a "breakable assign a color" light brush, how do I do this (assign it a color)? Also, how do I change how accurately I can reposition brushes?
