A version that supports Quake2 would be awesome.  :)  The .map formats are very similar (but different enough that you can't quickly convert via text editor), I can provide a simple box map for an example.

EDIT: a bug?

When I export the map, the center of the map builder doesn't correspond to the center of the Doom 3 map cord's.  In my test map, I made some rooms, exported, and it was in the far north/west quadrant when I loaded it in to Radiant.

The biggest "improvement" to id's physics would be using the GPU to offload the CPU, like PhysX does.  Besides that, it can do pretty much anything other physics engines can in relation to rigid bodies, ragdolls & collisions.  Obviously it's still dated to 2004 and I wouldn't compare it to much that's used now (I'd hope the other physics engines updated since 2004!).

For most applications, it's more then enough.

Either way, usable vehicles in Doom 3 engine (besides ETQW) is still completely awesome.  :)

I'd suggest binding a key to each of those commands.

If you have the AF editor open you can also toggle showing skeletons, AF bodies & a bunch of other things.  There's console commands to do the same thing but the AF editor has it all in a nice & easy to use UI.

You could do FPS + RTS, but you could also just do RTS.  The AI stood it's ground pretty well.

There's the strategy game where it's marines vs demons and the player controls RTS style.  I forget the name but it was pretty cool.
