Title: Expansion new features for Doom 3

Hi,

I was reading this section's description about how the core of the game is C++.

With leaving aside basic editing such levels, characters.

Just what has anyone changed or expanded for this game recently or in the past?

Could anyone drive a vehicle? If I recall there was source code released for the game, notsure if I'm confusing this with that, or they interconnected.

Not in stock Doom 3. However, I shared modified dhewm3 (aka Storm Engine 1) with caedes and that fork has working vehicles. I don't know if he ported that into dhewm3 or not.

Storm Engine 2 has working vehicles too (also save/load game is broken when saving on custom maps with vehicles), but RBDoom 3 BFG still doesn't have much stuff ported from Storm Engine 2.

Apparently no one cares for new gameplay. Everyone is trying to bump up visuals for core Doom 3.

Hmm.

I just may be thought also the ship that brings in the marine could be controlled, fly around within an area of Martian surface, hmm like on the Monorail map.

Remember, I'm not in the know about modifications. I never play Doom 3. I only returned to edit a map  early this month or well copied a hallway from the Mars city map and use that as a start for a small edit, hopefully with a new demon.

I downloaded one modification, 1.3GB. Released in 2010. I have yet to extract it and try play it.

Is that going to configure Doom 3 in a way that could cause any problems for editing?

I don't know some mod, it doesn't even load. I don't have a 1.3 patch or what ever.

Then get the 1.3.1 patch. Why have you not played any of these epic mods?
