Although it's not iD Tech engine, it's RAGE 2 !!! Out and sounds like a good game. Roadmap shows 2 content DLCs ahead, which is cool.

As much as I liked Rage I'm personally waiting for the new Doom as my "Big Game of the Year" purchase. :)

Same here buddy. Rage 2 looks fun but I've heard multiple reliable reviewers, not IGN, PC Gamer, etc., say the same thing over and over. It's fun when the action is going on but the open world is bland and lifeless. The story is stale, the characters don't really hit the mark, the side quests are repetitive, and it's basically a very mediocre game. The only thing that holds it together is the action which is basically a Doom 2016 like experience and there's not enough of it. I think I'll just wait till the actual new Doom experience comes out. Maybe Rage 2 will be a bargain bin buy one day for me.
I haven't read a review (haven't for years, I'm not a fan of most review systems/scoring), but I'll wait till it's on sale. Not sure how long though. Might not even get PC. I still find it stupid Wolf 2 is $60 on Steam but on console, disc form, is $40. Prices aren't lowered any more so I'm less interested in AAA PC titles that only go down in price on sales.
Most of the reviews seem to be quite positive. I saw someone playing on Twitch and it looked cool. Probably will get it when I have time to play games again (or sooner :P )
Well reviews on Steam aren't that great and that's actual player reviews. And Metacritic User reviews are sitting at 5.5 on PC and 5.3 on PS4. That's not good and definitely not worth full price. Like I said the action is fantastic looking and that's where the game shines the most according to reviewers. But it's not worth full price IMO. Bargain buy for sure though. Either way to each their own. Have fun if you get it and let us know how it goes. I'm off to Monster Hunter World now.
Steam's user reviews is a trashy system. I don't trust it a single bit.

Well most reviewers praise the shooting and dislike the open-world content. I think the open-world part is where Avalanche helped tho. Shooting seems pretty much id-level.

It's one of the greatest games I've ever played. It runs great on PC even with the official HD Texture pack. I've had it since Christmas and I've played it almost everyday for about 2-4 hours a day. I can't put it down. So much to do, so many events, so much free content and updates. It's the gift that truly keeps on giving. Buy it now.
Loads very slow, but once its up it runs like oil :) gameplay is not really my cup of tea though.
I actually just beat RAGE 2 a few days ago. Sank in about 40 hrs or more. Still have some side quests unfinished ::)
I think RAGE 2 is a great game. I am looking forward the upcoming DLCs.
Indoor level design kinda sucks, compare to RAGE 1, but the gunplay (with help of abilities) is great.
Motorsep, I liked the first rage, & R2 is on sale @ steam. Think I'd like the sequel?
So I bought the deluxe edition last night. It reminds me so much of Zelda Breath of the Wild, but with guns & cars vs swords & horses. Plus you talk in the game. :)

i'm liking it quite a bit so far. I really liked the intro with the ranger guy who rode in on a bike. I like stealing cars. I like attacking strongholds that are harder then I'd expect. I like upgrading @ arcs. I like the snarky car (I feel kind of like knight rider :p ). I like the little skull that appears when you kill something.

I am waiting for Sep. 26 - Ghosts expansion will be out (new story arc, new enemies, whole new territory, new gun and new vehicle)
