I'm focused on a little editing for Doom 3. So that is a long way off for me.

Doom 2016 is light years ahead of Doom 3 when it comes to fun gameplay, graphics, level design, and music and sound. No reason to wait. Get it now. I beat it before the last release of my PD3 mod. So there's no excuse. It's awesome.

Doom 3 will be fine. I'm on a 32bit windows XP Dimension 4600, plenty of examples on youtube.

I'm trying to get a new enemy in, a very small one, with three legs, Lost in space, low poly spider. I can't seem to get the bones or mesh exported without errors.

I even thought would a copy of 3D studio max 6 or 7 be worth trying to get a hold off, to do some exporting. Probably not.

VGames

Yeah I use 3dsmax 9. Super easy to use and definitely worth it.

You couldn't run Doom 2016 on your rig anyways. You need an upgrade man.

I have upgraded, a 2.80GHZ early generation Dual core small form factor Optiplex 780 windows 7 pro a 2009 system according to various searches, I don't like it. Better than what I'm using currently. Been using the Dimension for thirteen years now. I could use it for another year or two. Not many computer users use a system primarily for so long like that.

Of course that optiplex has developed a drive problem, but I paid £50 for it. Only the system. Better than nothing.

Could you get my mesh and skeleton to work for Doom 3? I did read that document that is loaded with the python file. It isn't working for me, the only alternative is to get somebody to do so.

I thought u had win xp?

I can look into getting the skeleton and character in game but I've never messed around with characters. I've animated weapons only. But it was pretty easy to accomplish.

Yes I sure do, I'm switching between systems to watch blue ray eps of Enterprise that won't run on the Pentium 4 system. Until I get a keyboard I can't migrate the old software such as Doom 3, I hope it works on that.. Otherwise it'll have to remain on the 32 bit system.

Hmm, well you are my only chance for the moment. I upload a blend with four textures, hmm, but then again you are using Max. That won't work, the texturing wouldn't save as an export. Flip flops!

Unless you have used Blender?

VGames

No not really. Get it compatible with Max and then I'll see what I can do.

What do I need to do ? Just export it I guess, but can texturing remain with an export?

Hmm. There has to be somebody on here to can may be do so with Blender 2.76.

Alternatively, you'd need to texture it.

VGames

Why don't you just get a copy of 3DSMax 9? It's perfect for modding Doom 3 models and animations.

Just for the record 9 won't work on the systems I have.

I think Motorsep has a blender 2.7x md5 exporter with his engine on his github page.  I just forget what that is.

What the site is, not the engine.
