Differences between model and cinematic model
« on: June 17, 2016, 12:22:12 AM »
What is cinematic model essentially?

More triangles/bones/materials?

Can I use default model as cinematic model?

Thanks.

It's just rigged up for cinematic vs gameplay.  I think only the player & a handful of NPC's have special cinematic models.  Everything else uses the game model & cinematic animations.

Ok, thanks. I'll think about it as a separate, unique models & animations.

Perhaps not in Doom 3, but they are different models and animations. Cinematic models have more tris, can have different bones and respective animations.
