Quick Google search reveals Thief 3 doesn't work in VR. Please provide a link on how you got it working with DK2 or Rift or Vive.

Btw, streaming to HMD only provides you with big screen in front of you, not 360 deg. environment. That's not VR.

Here a short video of my DIY VR Solution (without the SmartPhone being placed inside the Cardboard 2.0 +, you can actually see it being placed in front of the TV) running Thief 3 Deadly Shadows in VR with headtracking (since someone doubted that it would be possible at all...  )

As you can see the latency is pretty much non existant and I have by far not optimized my wifi connection...

The problem is you don't say how exactly it's DIY. There are several apps for streaming, and one of them supports head tracking. However, you don't specify. And that's what discredits you, even if what you showing is legit.

What if I actually enjoy the fact that you are restricted to your crappy Mobile GearVR apps while I get to play and enjoy all the latest Desktop games in full-blown-butter-smooth VR ? What if I consider this to be the best punishment to an ignorant troll such as you are ? I bet that thought didn't even cross your narcissistic mind yet .

I got you exactly in the spot I want you to be in and if you feel uncomfortable about it: Go and find your own solutions and stop pestering me and the others here.
