I got this weird issue going on all of a sudden. When zombies get gibbed their bodies disintegrate leaving their skeletons behind which also disintegrates as it should but then their bodies reappear as soon as the bones are gone. Just their bodies with parts missing as if they were mid disintegration. Then after a couple of seconds the body just disappears. Have any of you ever seen that happen before? I don't know what could be causing this. I just noticed it today so I don't know what I could have done to cause this. I've been messing with the weapons for a long time now. No changes to the zombies or monsters whatsoever.

It's a driver issue. Just recently updated my ATI drivers right around the time this started happening and now this bug happens in vanilla Doom 3 too. May roll back.

The new 15.11 drivers?  I just tried an I don't get that.  AMD HD 7850 with 15.11 drivers.

I'm using the 15.11.1 beta drivers with a 5870. Much older GPU. But do you think the beta drivers might be causing an issue? Maybe I should use the straight 15.11 drivers?

Try the 15.11.  I like to keep a copy of Doom 3 with no mods/etc. just to test stuff like this.

Well uninstalled drivers, cleaned out excess crap with a driver cleaner in safe mode, and then ran the 15.11 setup in normal mode to find out that it would not give me any option to install all the features in the suite. I was only able to install 3 of the features. None of them were the actual drivers. Then I decided to install the older drivers that I had before but was unable to see all of the install window. My resolution was locked at 640x480. Never had that happen before but it sure happened this time. So cleaned out everything again and reinstalled the 15.11.1 beta drivers. Lost about 1 hour of my life. Gibbing bug still happens.
