I would not rotate entities with the rotation tools, instead use the directional tool in the entity inspector.

Just want to make sure your "custom shortcut" includes these. (game path is dependent on your install location of course)

"C:\Doom3\Doom3.exe" +set r_fullscreen 0 +editor +set com_allowConsole 1

The editor does not work with antialiasing turned on, so you may need to add:
+set r_multiSamples 0

also putting this in there someplace might help:
+vid_restart

is the OP like a time capsule/repost? People can still use Doom 3. I mean Quadrilateral Cowboy was a critically acclaimed game made with Doom 3 and Blender. There is a path, tho few use it.

Speaking personally, yes a lack of .md5 exporters for Maya is THE MAIN REASON i don't do more modding. It is not for lack of looking. They're just arent good current ones out there. I would pay toward making an exporter that worked with Maya LT.

There is a global game jam, where participants will idly waste valuable energy resources to produce briefly interesting vaporware.

Is anybody here planning to participate and make anything with id tech 4? I was looking up Blendo's past jam submission that used it and I discovered this helpful link from the long long ago. (it suggests d3w as a resource)

But anyway, I was thinking of making something with Unity, but I would also love to make something really ridiculous in tech 4. Anyway, if any of you are participating in any capacity in a Jam this weekend, it would be cool if you would share about it here. (whether its d3 related or not)

Socialism, for americans, does not have the same meaning, since we have only implemented the mostly good parts of socialism (welfare programs, work programs, etc), while we had to read in history and watch on the news, as the effects of expanded and inneffective governments led to the suffering and death of the people that empowered the revolution to begin with. I think, for some americans socialism is an ideal worthy of pursuing,  while others fear the involvement of the government into more areas of their life.

1. select the speaker
2. press 'n' on the keyboard
3. click on 'sound' button on the entity inspector (do not search through the content browser tab)
4. when the sound browser window pops up, go to the sound you want to use
5. double click the sound you want
6. hit 'okay'
7. select the computer model
8. shift-select the speaker
9. press Ctrl + 'k' on the keyboard (this connects the computer to the speaker)

for the models, like computers and doors with screen panels, just select the model with shift+LMB and then click the GUI button in the entity inspector.

If you are using a plane with the common/gui texture applied to it (which you have converted to a func_static) select the plane with shift+LMB and then click the GUI button in the entity inspector.

Ctrl+Shift+LMB is only used to select faces of brushes.

I haven't played much at all, but from what I have played, it is quite good. If this is meant as practice toward MG making the next Quake SP game and possibly contributing toward Quake Champions, both of those ideas would already have had my encouragment, but this is a welcome addition. It's cool that a professional studio would be a member of the mod community like this.

the gui/camera_view (not sure about the spelling) gui does this, and I believe it uses a camera view from somewhere in the map, but it is able to display on a gui in-game, real-time, so it should also work for the HUD, but I never successfully tested it, so I could be wrong.

but didn't the whole no SP thing not go so well with Q3A, I confess to only playing it long after it was released, but I seem to remember that. It's also weird that most of the Q3 characters were never in the actual Quake games, since they would have been really neat to see. It's strange that quake has like 3 different universes that only seem connected by the name. Anyway, will probably still play.
