Of course I have to wait for my Wife to bring my laptop to France in about 4 weeks though.

As a part time USPS employee I'd say just mail it in a flat rate box for ~$80, but as a husband I'd say I'd be more excited for the wife to show up then the laptop.   :goodnight:   :)

Must be.  You can still search for them via username though, they're just not in the listing.

Since modding these newer engines is more intense then the older ones (ha, even D3 falls in to that category!) having something like UT mutators would get people modding the game again.  Bighead cyber demon puts a smile on my face.  :)

I don't remember banning anyone but spam accounts/ip's, but people can delete themselves and the logs say then they're converted to a guest.  Have a thread you're seeing that says this?

Old joint was kinda quite too, except for the off topic discussion.

I'm finding that everything contained only at modwiki & d3w was a really bad long term "plan."  I can find more Quake 2 how-to's, tutorials and info then I can D3 because they're shared all over the net.  Not spreading the info around to other sites really got rid of a bunch of good info (so much for nothing is ever gone from the 'net, eh?).

Doesn't look like it's on Steam, so I'm guessing E-Bay/Amazon.  PC I assume?  If not, Gamestop might have a used copy.

It doesn't require online activation so even if the cd-key isn't good for MP you can still play SP.

What specifically are you looking for in "next gen"?  Maybe some of the features you're looking for are already in an id GPL engine (IE Darkplaces, ETXReal, etc).

Would it be possible to copy/paste the brushes from GTK to id Studio?

I'm hoping that's what the cyberdemon will look like in game.  I'm hoping more it's action oriented like the game it's a remake of.  :)  Really, making it a suspense/gore fest would be like remaking Aliens in to a suspense/gore fest.  It wouldn't be the same! 

Love the door sound too.

Q: My mouse doesn't work properly in Doom 3 (non-BFG) on Windows 8.1, it acts "sticky".
A: Disable the "Enhanced Pointer Precision" in Mouse Properties - Pointer Options.

I got a replacement off ebay.  Only way to get it now.  Best team shooter since Unreal's Assault imho.  Others just feel lame compared to it.

It's my kids favorite shooter too.

Same as any game that I can think of: whatever is next to the water-effect is also affected by the water effect.  Are there any games that don't have this happen?

Yup, down at the bottom of the forum listing is a recent posts link, up top right under your name is a "show unread posts since last visit" and "show new replies to your posts".
