Title: Editing Gravity in Doom 3
Post by: douglas quaid on January 16, 2016, 11:27:42 AM
Is it possible, when editing a water material to make it more like low gravity?

Water in stock D3 is just a texture, not actual water attributes are available.

So you can't make that specific part low grav in the game, but you most likely could change the gravity via a trigger.

Actually material token "water" sets brush to have water physics inside. It's a stock Doom 3 behavior. However, it's buggy and physics apply only to player.

There ya go - water you can swim in (use your mouse and WASD; you can use 'jump' to rise up, but if you hit bottom, 'jump' won't lift you up): https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwE6dxM0O2PsM25hQlNxWlA3YlE

Did it work for you? (hopefully it works, unlike GUI movies :) )
