Yes I've done this too. That's what I was talking about earlier when I said I tried adding a cube map to the decals. When they looked their best they acted more like mirrors and lacked the depth they needed. I can add cube maps and specular maps to everything except for decals spawned by projectiles. Whether or not they're on the world or character models. I've tried adding glowing effects to character body damage decals caused by the plasma rifle similar to what it does on walls and floors and ceilings, but guess what, it doesn't work either.

Is there possibly a way to fix this via the SDK? I agree that it has to be some kind of issue when its being created dynamically. Because it has to be scaled and stretched in an instant and check to see if it's overlapping others.
