Do you own Doom 2016 ? Have you gotten all updates they released? If so, you can already play classic Doom maps officially re-created by iD Software.

Quake Champions will be id Tech 6 powered.

I'd love to see a more direct port of Q1/2/3A as a single game for $50/60.  I'd buy that again.

that would be insanely cool indeed. I have to check the pointed titles. I am not aware of everything id is doing right now. but must definitely check it out as I am playing a lot of quake 3 mods such as open arena these days

by the way if anyone is doing stuff with id tech 6, and needs audio assets, don't hesitate contacting me  ;)

Sounds like you never played Doom 2016 and haven't looked into modding for idTech 6. It's not moddable. All you can do is build maps using modules provided by the game and script various logic in the SnapMap. No sounds, no textures, nothing external can be added.

no, I have never played doom 2016. I only played doom 3 and doom 2. as well as quake 2, 3, 4. even though I would be happy to contribute to mods with sound design assets. but since it's not editable, maybe I will leave this up to id tech 3 and 4
